Our Services

Our mission is to provide free food and hygiene items to Bethel residents in need, with compassion and respect for clients' dignity.

The Bethel Community Food Pantry began serving the community in 1992, formerly known as the St. Thomas Food Pantry. Over the past three decades the BCFP has has the pleasure of serving many individuals and families in our community. We couldn't do it without our wonderful volunteers and generous donations from the local community.

We are able to provide food, perishable and non-perishable, as well as select cleaning products and personal hygiene items. BCFP cares deeply about the quality of the goods , everything we receive and give out is un-opened and well with-in the expiration date. We receive most of our items from the Local Community, The Connecticut FoodShare, a central food bank for CT, and the Community Food Rescue, which collects and distributes food from local supermarkets such as Big Y, Panera, Target and others. The BCFP strives to be able to help anyone in Bethel who is in need while maintaining respect and dignity.
